AWS Community South Africa is a non-profit company dedicated to fostering cloud computing knowledge, collaboration and professional growth across South Africa.
Our mission is to build and nurture an inclusive, knowledge-driven cloud community in South Africa — where professionals at every level can learn, share and grow together through peer-to-peer collaboration and hands-on experiences with Amazon Web Services.
Cloud computing's leading innovator, Amazon Web Services (AWS), has inspired a global phenomenon of community engagement. More than 590+ independent AWS User Groups have emerged worldwide, creating vibrant networks of professionals who collaborate, learn, and share knowledge. These groups serve as dynamic platforms for peer-to-peer learning, allowing members to explore new cloud services, discuss best practices, and build meaningful professional connections.
Specifically focusing in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria in South Africa, which forms part of the EMEA region. EMEA (Europe the Middle East and Africa) region spans over Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions. AWS Community South Africa actively organize monthly meetups and events like the AWS Community Day South Africa, fostering technological exchange and collaborative learning in the cloud computing landscape.
